King Baldwin IV reigned from A.D. 1174 to 1185, he led a remarkable but tragically short life. Affected by leprosy from a young age, he ascended to the throne as a child, facing the immense challenge of ruling the Kingdom of Jerusalem during the tumultuous times of the crusades.
Despite his illness, he displayed remarkable military and strategic acumen, winning the Battle of Montgisard against Salah ad-Din.
