King Arthur - Long Sleeve
from $25.00
This design features a depiction of Arthur on horseback with the words ‘King Arthur’ in Old Welsh.
The capitals in the script are based on the Lindisfarne Bible, with the lowercase script being based on
Insular texts of the time.
The subtext is from ‘Le Morte D’Arthur’, by Sir Thomas Mallory. In his version, when Arthur dies his body is carried to Avalon by Morgan le Fay and Nimue. They left a memorial stone which
reads: “Rex Quondam, Rexque Futurus” which is Latin for “The once and future King.” Which plays into the belief that Arthur will return to save his people.
